- With lockable chess pieces, 2 pawns are missing (a white and a black one - these could be imitated relatively easily, no problem for wood turners - the lock can be unlocked and locked again using 4 mechanical buttons - very rare - a real chessboard rarity
- The figures all have a brass pin on the bottom that the latch engages and holds them in place
- The chess pieces have signs of wear
- Material: oak for the body and fruit tree wood, maple etc. for the inlays and figures
- A silver coat of arms is mounted on the chess board, which reads: The Society of the Forest Hall i/l. Dr. H. Zimmermann zfE Hohen Honnef Spring 96 (1896)
- The chessboard would have to be dusted off, the missing pieces would have to be replaced.

In very good used condition, slightly dusty, 2 pawns are missing (one white and one black), they can be made by a wood carpenter, 4 knobs are missing, which keep the distance to the table (also called beer nails, in case something spills on the table, so that the board does not stand in the liquid), no cracks or breaks on the traveling chessboard, the battlements on one rook are missing, please note the pictures.
